Leechburg, Pennsylvania

Leechburg is a small borough in Western Pennsylvania, founded in 1850 on the banks of the Kiskiminetas River, across from Westmoreland County. Just under 2,000 people call it home today — a quiet river town with a rich steel-industry history, a walkable downtown, and parks and trails along the water.

The Leechburg Bridge, standing since 1935, connects the borough to Westmoreland County. Visitors can dig into the town’s past at the Leechburg Museum, or get out on the water via the Kiski River Water Trail.
